1. Accepting these terms
comein.cc (“comein.cc”, “we”, “us”) lets you build a public page of links and, if you choose, private pages that open with a key you hand out. These terms apply to anyone who creates an account (“you”, a creator) and to anyone who visits a page hosted on comein.cc. By creating an account or using the service you agree to them. Our Privacy Policy explains what we do with your information and is part of these terms.
2. Who can use comein.cc
To create an account you must meet the minimum age requirements where you live for using an online service like this one. If you use comein.cc for a business or other organisation, you confirm you are allowed to accept these terms on its behalf.
3. Your account and signing in
There are no passwords. You sign in with a link we email to you, which works once and expires after 15 minutes. That makes your email inbox the key to your account, so keep it secure and use an address only you can read. You are responsible for what happens under your account. If you think someone else has got in, tell us at [email protected].
Your handle (the name in your page’s address) must not impersonate someone else or mislead people about who runs the page. Some names are reserved for the service. We may reclaim a handle that breaks these terms.
4. Your content
You keep ownership of everything you put on comein.cc: text, links, images and the look of your page. You are responsible for it, and you confirm you have the right to publish it.
So that we can run the service, you give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, copy, re-encode, resize, cache and display your content, to serve it to the people you share it with, and to show your public page (for example in search results and link previews). This licence exists only to operate comein.cc and ends when you delete the content or your account, apart from copies that remain for a short time in backups or caches as described in the Privacy Policy.
Your public page is public. Anyone can see it, search engines can index it, and it is listed in our sitemap. Do not put anything on it you would not want the world to see.
5. Acceptable use
You may not use comein.cc to publish, link to or promote:
- anything illegal, or anything that facilitates illegal activity;
- any material that sexually exploits or endangers children;
- harassment, threats, bullying, or content that incites violence or hatred against people;
- malware, phishing, or pages built to steal credentials, money or personal information;
- impersonation of a person, brand or organisation, or a page that misleads people about who runs it;
- content that infringes someone else’s copyright, trademark or other rights;
- spam, including bulk-created pages, deceptive redirects and link schemes.
You also may not interfere with the service: no attacking or overloading it, probing it for weaknesses without permission, getting around its limits or access controls, or scraping it at scale.
6. Keys and private pages
A private page opens for anyone who enters one of its keys. You decide who gets a key, and you are responsible for who you give one to and for what happens once they have it: a person with a key can see, copy and share what is behind it. Revoking a key stops it opening your pages from then on, but a visitor who already unlocked them keeps access on that device for up to 30 days. The rules in these terms apply to private pages exactly as they do to public ones.
7. Removing content and suspending accounts
We may remove or restrict content, unpublish a page, or suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, if the law requires it, or to protect people or the service. Where we can, we tell you what we did and why. If you think we got it wrong, reply to that message or write to [email protected] and we will look at it again.
8. Reporting abuse and copyright complaints
To report a page that breaks these terms, email [email protected] with the page’s address and what is wrong with it. For a copyright complaint, include: who you are and how to reach you; the work you own; the address of the page or content you say infringes it; a statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorised; and a statement that your complaint is accurate and that you are the owner or authorised to act for them. If we remove content after a complaint, the creator can send us a counter-notice at the same address.
9. The service
We work to keep comein.cc running and your page opening, but we may change, add or remove features, and the service may sometimes be unavailable. comein.cc is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement and uninterrupted or error-free operation. Keep your own copy of anything that matters to you; the export in your account settings gives you everything at any time.
10. Limits on our liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, comein.cc is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the service, or from content published by creators or reached through their links. Our total liability for any claim about the service is limited to the amount you paid us for it in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
You agree to be responsible for, and to cover our costs arising from, claims by others about content you publish or your breach of these terms.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page says when they last changed. When a change materially affects you, we will tell you before it takes effect, by email or on the site. Continuing to use comein.cc after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.
12. Deleting your account
You can delete your account at any time from your account settings. Deletion removes your page, its content, your keys, your uploaded images and your statistics, as described in the Privacy Policy. Download an export first if you want a copy; deletion cannot be undone.
